A new beginning (week 3)

Hi everyone, this week I have been researching a bit more about blogs, as you can probably see from my previous posts I was forced to create a blog in order to pass my grades but at this point I wish to take this blog seriously and continuously work on it  after graduation. In order to see what would be more engaging and entertaining in comparison to my previous blog posts and from my findings I believe I have discovered that from this point on my blog will be more conversational.

This will hopefully appeal to you guys while also portraying what I and my fellow peers have been getting up to during our studies and perhaps also my thoughts on things effecting the video game industry as a whole. It would be really awesome if you also let me know what you think about what I talk about and perhaps even have a chat about anything you feel regarding both the video game industry and/or other aspects of the world (preferably the video game industry though ;P ). With that all out of the way I will now explain my place in the video game world this week.

I am officially the lead artist for our project we are currently working on at uni and our development team is unofficially called the “Republic of cheerful.” Essentially we have just been building upon what we worked on the idea we previously created in the first week of the trimester which I feel is a really interesting concept (check “Interesting use of the iPhone 6 (week 1)”). I don’t really know how to achieve creating an iPhone game that interacts with the new technology of the iPhone 6 but the game could definitely be functional without it with a few tweaks. During our presentation this week explaining our project to another class we discovered a vital piece of information involving one of our game mechanics; shooting traffic.

It appeared that majority of the audience thought that this sounds like the most enjoyable part of our game concept and thought that we should consider making the game revolve around this particular mechanic. I think that presentations are essential in both gaining feedback and pitching concepts to those that it may be beneficial to. Well that was this week, please let me know how terrible I am at creating these blog posts :D I really want to begin creating interactive blogs in order to share information and learn in order to help the video game industry grow. Thanks for reading!
