Why Skyrim is so immersive (Week 9)

The elder scrolls is an extremely enjoyable open world RPG series with several award winning immersive titles. Skyrim is the 5th instalment in the series and is definitely the most polished in the series. Its main focus is on exploration and the world it presents. The world in Skyrim is one of the most beautiful and immersive in any video games and can be explored in either 1st or 3rd person depending on what the player may enjoy more.

The amount of lore in the game is absolutely astonishing with 820 in-game books which help build the immersive experience by allowing the player to slowly gain knowledge in the world they are exploring. Of course the game is full of content and can keep players entertained for hundreds of hours. The only shortcomings of the Elder scrolls V: Skyrim is the fact that occasional glitches may be encountered which is to be expected in such a large open world production. As a game development student creating a game of this magnitude and quality is definitely a goal to aim for in the future
